The Movement
The Root
In June of 2022 a group of 10 twenty somethings bonded over the sense of adventure and fulfillment a life truly surrendered to Jesus brings. All of us had gotten tired of religion and in different ways handled overcoming that, just to be met by Jesus in supernatural ways. That group learned what it meant to live in community, and the importance of it.
Cliff jumping, hiking, bible studies, worship nights, and everything in between. As we went, others joined through organic invitation and conversation. Many surprised because most of us grew up in southern christian culture where christianity is merely a building on Sundays that helps you feel better, but now experiencing the fun that comes with the yes
Program Structure
Daily classes lead campers through painting, papermaking, and ceramics, with small class sizes that allow for plenty of personal guidance. Artist-educators create a balance of focused skill-building and playful exploration, ensuring each day feels both structured and surprising. At the end of the summer, campers share their creations in a celebratory art show.
What’s Included
Tuition covers all program materials, from paints and clay to instruments and costumes, so campers can create freely without added costs. Three meals a day are served in the dining hall, alongside snacks, field trips, and evening campfires. Campers live in cozy cabins with new friends, cared for by attentive staff.
Session Lengths
Campers can enroll in either four- or eight-week sessions, depending on how immersive they’d like their summer to be. A four-week stay offers a vibrant introduction and plenty of time to grow, while eight weeks allow for deeper projects and stronger community bonds. Both options promise a full camp experience packed with creativity and adventure.
Camper Age Groups
Programs are designed for campers 9 to 16 years old, with age groups divided into grades third to sixth, sixth to eighth, and ninth to eleventh. This ensures that instruction, activities, and community are tailored to each developmental stage. Campers live in cabins grouped by age, creating a safe, close-knit environment where they can feel at home.
